My Gray mare used to be MUCH lighter in the summer than the winter , It might just be his coat differences

@annismyrph I hope so! I know most horses change throughout the summer and winter but Ive never had a grey before. I thought as they got lighter they stayed that way and never got darker again

I swear it cuz there is more mud in the summer than winter , and she kept trying to make me think she was a chestnut with red clay -.-

winter hairs are longer and so it'll
look darker, but inevitably he'll lighten -
@Blaze5115 ; at least his mane and tail are still black ; once that whitens he ll gray faster
