I know the body shape sure looks different to me when I see them mirrored, so it's not just you. I think it's pretty normal for that to be the case, and mirroring is a technique artists often use to see their work afresh when they've gotten so used to looking at it a certain way. I keep wanting to make little tweaks to the outline every time I flip one of my horses the other way. :)
