Peacock?
-
I don't GMT my own horses but I modded some for and found out that I had some LPP1 and Vrn in my herd not knowing that was even a thing I'm quite happy.
However I don't have peacock and am curious is it a hidden I should seek out or is it a new to be released gene?Licensed for:
All Axiom
Ice: 9, 13, 15-19

PHAN: dmsp, lace, sku, hrt, shm, jelly, pmk, bird, crit sun star.
Other: everything but SPM and jewel -
What exactly do you mean by "peacock"? Can you provide an example of how it looks?
-
If you try to GMT a horse there is an option for 'peacock varnish' just below snowflake and above varnish regulator HLicensed for:

I'll go take a look.
-
I don't see it.
-
@Xzeina It will only show as an option for lined horses. I've seen it in the GMT lab before too but I'm not sure what it does or if I'd recognize it on the horse.
-
what is lpp1?
would you kindly explain

@leefe No idea frankly. The GMT description makes it sound basically like ASR I'm not how/if they are different or if they interact or if it needs to be het or hom.
This is a horse with both Vrn and lpp1
5s All Bling No Shine V1
These both have LPP1 as well but you can't really tell anything do to the lack of spots and nexus respectively. So yeah I'm clueless.

@leefe Actually...does it seem like the spots kind of cluster together? *shrug* this isn't a big enough sample size.Licensed for:

LPP1 is an allele of LP Promoter which regulates spot size, but is unrelated otherwise to the paid gene, ASR. All horses can carry it but it can only be seen in the GMT lab on lined horses. The gene has another allele called LPP2 that causes distinctly smaller spots, even if only one copy is present. I haven't noticed much difference between LPP1 carriers and non-carriers of the gene. I wrote a post on it and showed a couple examples in the linked thread below. I could dig through my barns for others I tested as well if you'd like more examples.

Ah thanks interestingly LPP2 seems to be dominant. Personally I've found ASR and LPP1 express almost identically but I've only just started looking so it just be chance.
here is a het 1 and a het asr

curious that this discussion has just come up. in my Facebook feed today there was a picture of a "peacock" leopard appy. The spots were very well defined, with darker color inside the lighter color in the spots.

@fiddler yeah I feel like I've seen them in the game I just always thought it was halo (H)Licensed for:

I think its been mentiuoned these are "placeholders" until the gene is released into the game
-
Yup. It literally does nothing and should not be visable. Hopefully, it is hidden now.
"Personally I've found ASR and LPP1 " This is incorrect information. LPP1 has zero impact on spot size. ".does it seem like the spots kind of cluster together?" You are looking at Kit M on that horse, not appy.Post edited by Ammit at 2022-09-08 06:38:33Need to contact me? Read this first.
