As I understand it, that really depends on what Star level he is already. If he's a lower star, you boost him, and then breed him to mares of a similar caliber to his boosted self, you should get some really great foals, some of which may even test superior. If he's at or very near the breeding ability cap and you boost him over that line, none of his offspring will test superior or even AGA, no matter how good their dams are, unless you boost each foal. I don't think they would pass breeding advice either. No horse can go past that cap unless boosted.
