You can gift a license by purchasing the gene and putting it on a foundation ( either one of theirs or one you Gift them ) It will transfer the license with the horse :)

The GE is set up so that you can put the gene on a foundation horse, and send it to your giftee, but if you only have that one copy of the license then you send that copy with the horse when gifted. So keep a close eye on the number of licenses you have for that gene. It does warn you if it is only one copy before you send the horse.
