breeding dilemma
-
so we try to breed better horses, but when your better horse is of age, you can't breed him to the mares because now he is better than they are? I'm talking about a pasture full of red mares, and thinking about breeding them to an A rated stallion. do I do it? or do I stick.with the Only B rated stud I have with the right genes?

Do you care more about getting better foals, or do you care more about getting more intact foals?Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

better, and hopefully a chance of an intact foal

Not possible to do both. You either use the better stud and get better foals or you use the more equal stud and get more intact foals. Can't have it both ways. :)Need to contact me? Read this first.

can a horse be better and not pass SBA?
-
oh now that's interesting. haha confusing too

That is a tangential idea and not part of your original question. The better stallion will ALWAYS produce better foals (on average). More intact foals does not mean the foals are better.Post edited by Ammit at 2022-12-04 07:49:22Need to contact me? Read this first.

I keep the generations even ( which isnt really supposed to matter since the game can't "see" generations ) and leave the mares in pasture so the foals get their "Bump" and have bred successfully 2g A studs to 2g Red mares ( 85 out of 100 pass rate ) back when I kept and used 2g red mares since my foundies were a mixture of Yellow and Red mares :)
hope that helps someThanked by 1OrionsStables
