What's the difference between sport pony and warmblood? - Answered
-
Is it height, or weight, or both, or something else.Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2022-12-22 18:28:03

it is height ; basically a sport pony is a short warmblood type ponyThanked by 1OopsDotCom

Yep, anything below 14.3 is considered a pony (so being 14.2 or less in height).
A regular bone type (warmblood) below 14.3 hands is called a Sport Pony. 14.3 or higher is called a Warmblood.
A light bone type below 14.3 hands is called a riding pony. 14.3 or higher is called a Riding Horse.
A heavy bone type below 14.3 hands is called a Cob. 14.3 hands or higher is called a Draft.
When a horse has the height regulator gene it can also become a collectible horse, a horse that is too small to be ridden in shows (I always think of them as Falabella ponies).
However I don't know their sizes from the top of my head.
You can use the search to search for specific heights or height ranges. It also describes when a horse is pony sized or not.
I hope this helped! :)HJ1 160524

Anything under 12.00 hands is a "collectible" however they are still catigorized as Riding Pony, Sport Pony or CobThanked by 1OopsDotCom

Do I remember there being a way to undo a gmt that you did wrong?
-
Only ones that actually affect a gene locus, not height, weight, white factor, sex, or things like that.Formerly OscarWildin

Yes. I modified this one's weight instead of his height by mistake. Should I be able to undo it?

When I go to edit height, i get:
14.1
14.2
14.3
15.0
15.1
15.2
15.3
to choose from as my choices but I don't know how to tell which ones are warmblood. There's no label to these numbers.
If I understand you correctly, the 15 and above should be warmbloods?Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2022-12-21 17:47:31 -
