I can't sleep
-
I pulled an all-nighter tonight and have been up since about 10:00 ish yesterday. It's Christmas Eve tonight which adds a lot of excitement an stress. On top of that, I always have had a problem falling asleep. The all-nighter was partially an accident, and partially on purpose. Does anybody have any tips on how to fall asleep easier and faster without melatonin gummies/pills? They do not help me at all. It is 5:58 AM right now and I need help. Please. I am getting desperate because I have had this problem going on for so long.Any tips or tricks are appreciates.273728

I have found the most helpful thing for me to be taking Magnesium about an hour before I want to sleep. I also drink Chamomile most nights when I take it. I also have sleep problems and this has been the only thing that has helped me consistently.
Outside of that, I stay away from phone, computer and TV screens. I'm sorry you're struggling with this, it really sucks to want so badly to sleep and be unable to. I hope you're able to fall asleep soon.Bluegrass 272432 | Forest 54250 | Mesa 9056 -
Update: I now found food. Thank you for the support Mensie, I appreciate it.273728

We always use white noise to help us sleep faster and deeper ; YouTube has great FREE 8-12 hour videos you can play on your TV or w/e ; we use Rain with Thunder ; it gets us to sleep and keeps us that way :) Good luckPost edited by annismyrph at 2022-12-24 06:30:11

Turns out the reason for my sleep issues was chronic magnesium deficiency. I sleep far better with it.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

The Headspace App has some really great sleepcasts and relaxation techniques. It is a paid app, but one that has proven its value for me. One that helps me once I'm in bed is a step by step relaxation going from toes to head. Imagining each body part, starting at toes, then feet, then ankles etc slowly relaxing, falling deeper into bed. Their sleepcasts are calming storytelling, with ambient background noise. Other free apps offer soundscapes like that, but they are short and I can often hear the loop occuring on the rain or storm ones.

YouTube has a bunch of really great guided sleep meditations. There's a guy called Michael Sealey I like a lot on there.Formerly OscarWildin

I've found that white noise helps me a lot. I put a fan next to my bed and turn it on every night. I also have the regular noise from my aquariums, so that helps as well.

I use an app called Better Sleep, they have guided meditation specifically to help you sleep and it's really been beneficial for me.Starstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest
