Breeding Horses That Won't Pass

If you have a horse you know will not pass BA (they paper below and compare worse to their parents) and you breed them, is it ever possible for their foals to pass BA?

Yes, their foals can pass because they will be compared to parent, not grandparent. But you may as well just try breeding the grandparent again for a superior foal than continuing the line without actual improvement. The only reason maybe to do that would be if you don't own the grandparent and want to keep the worse-than horse because it has genes you want to add to your line.Thanked by 1Ammit
