Is there a benefit to using straws over live breeding on here?

Just curious if there is a benefit to using straws since I see people asking for straws all the time when a stallion is up for public stud.ID: 96724

I don't believe there is any benefit to using straws in terms of increasing the chances for an intact foal. It does allow a player to store the straw for use at a later time, rather than doing an immediate breeding, which might be a factor if someone wanted to use a particular stallion but didn't have a suitable mare still unbred or old enough for breeding and wasn't sure if the stallion would be up for public stud in another game year.Thanked by 1hannahbrook

One other reason that I can think of to request straws instead of using live cover is if you have an egg you want to use with that stallion rather than an open mare.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.
