Here's what's in my transactions. Am I reading this right? That I'm losing money on shows?

They are not all like this, many the show entry is less than the payout, but not by very much. To me I'm reading into this, get rid of the low earners?

Not all horses win enough points to cover the entry fees..Even so, whatever they win will get some points back which is added towards the daily payout, Points and money both

@OopsDotCom ; you only show 2x a week ; and you get the payout 7 times a week ; you are make alot more than it costs to show

@annismyrph I think Oops is talking about the show entry fees and show winnings alone, not the daily showing bonus. The daily showing bonus does make up greatly for any small difference between the entry fees and show winnings, but there is still a small loss there, looking at those transaction records.

Yes, Lynn, that's what I meant. Would it be better to throw the poor showers in a barn and set that barn to don't show? Would they still get dpo?

No! Let every thing show. There is a reason why I took profit tracking out of the games for shows. It is a useless metric. Just show your horses and ignore show earnings. Just like real life you don't make money at the actual shows. You make money of the prestige the showing gets you.

Yes, this makes sense. In my dog showing world, you rarely even get cash prizes, just ribbons. Every show is a loss financially wise. I know that's not a good comparison, but I imagine the horse showing costs outweigh the profits by the time you add in transportation, wages, and hotel bills.
