I'm now living in a retirement lodge, so my trailer and lot is up for sale. The lot is worth 40k, but I've only received one bid in over a year which I'm going to take even though it's way too low. I can't afford to keep it for who knows how long as it's frankly ready to be condemned.

But revenue Canada has a lien on it because I owe income tax, and you can't transfer a title until a lien is paid off. But revenue Canada hasn't answered the letter the lawyer sent out 2 months ago saying how much I have to pay. And I didn't find out til today that the lawyer didn't send a second letter, or contact me.

And every month that goes by, I owe another 200 approx. in interest. In a couple months, I will owe more than I get from the sale, then the sale can't go through. And then I am stuck with the trailer. I will have to move out of the lodge and back into the trailer. And that scares me. I already had the floor collapse below me once.

Right about now I'd sell it for $1 if I could I'm so frustrated, and scared that the buyer will back out.

Oh wow. You wouldn't believe what happened yesterday.

I called the people I owed money to and instead of waiting on hold to dreadful music for an hour, it was picked up by a live person on the third ring. It turned out to be the person who actually dealt with my situation, no getting forwarded and forwarded to different people.

When I told him what the situation was, without me even asking, he dropped the price I would have to pay by $2500.

Then, I called the person who wants to buy the place and updated him, he was surprised to find what he was going to pay for the place barely covered what I owed by only a few hundred $, and he said okay, I'll give you 13,500 instead of 12,500. I didn't ask him to do that, I didn't even hint. He did it from the goodness in his heart. So after the sale, I will have $3,000 left for myself (to pay other bills like my loan and my charge card [and of course a barn or two]) instead of only a few hundred.

Still isn't finalized, we haven't signed a contract or anything, but things are looking good.

Well, and the bad news is, my daughter has to sign off on her share in the trailer, and she's disowned me and changed her phone number so there's no way for the lawyers to get in touch. She did say she would sign the papers, but I don't know how if The lawyer can't reach her. I'm really scared.

Well, my debtors cancelled the offer to settle for 10k. so i owe 12k and the sale price is either 12,500 or maybe 13,500 if I'm lucky. So It doesn't look great anymore.

Well, the sale is finalized. I have a few dollars left over for myself. My daughter signed without a squeak, and the lawyer called me Wed and said they had a cheque for me. I didn't get much profit from it, but the monkey is off my back finally.

I had horrors because CRA, who had to remove the lien once they were paid, is on strike and I thought it would take months to process. But the lawyer paid me my share yesterday
