How'd He Get This Tattoo?

A colt I just created (via 2g breeding) ended up with a tattoo I don't own. I also don't have any other horses with that tattoo, so I couldn't have copied it accidentally from another horse. I checked my transactions and I have been charged 25hb's for it.

I can only think it must be a tattoo linked to his breed and he came out with the Ereborian breed because both of his parents are that breed.
