Merging two horses of different ages?

    Hello,

    I forgot what happens if you merge two foundation horses of different ages into one Chimera in the GMT lab.

    I was fairly disconnected from active playing for a while and a lot of foundation mares I was planning on using got old. I was just wonder if I could save a couple by making them into Chimeras with younger mares.

    I think if the primary horse (the one you're gene editing from) is the younger one, then the older one's age doesn't matter and the resulting chimera will be the same age as the primary horse. I've never done it though so I'm not certain. That's a neat idea to rejuvenate a horse if it works, and you could set the second strand to 100% heritability so it would be just like breeding that original horse.

    Edit to add: I'm sure you've thought of this already, but just make sure the primary horse you use has the breeding ability that you want.

    How have I never known that you can combine two horses to make a chimera!? Is it a primary feature?
