1M HB Giveaway (Closed)
-
In memory of my beloved CrackerJack that I lost a year ago today I will give 100K HB to the first 10 players to respond with a story about their Australian Shepherd and/or deaf pup.
Jack was larger than life, always happy and a what's next personality, in spite of being a double Merle and deaf since birth. My favorite saying was that a stranger was just a friend he had not yet met. Even as the vet was administering the shot that would take Jack away from me in this lifetime, Jack was giving him kisses and wiggling with joy meeting this new friend.
I have a new pup that I adore, but the house is still strangely empty without Jack's booming presence.Post edited by Wldmstnglvr at 2023-07-11 21:26:59 -
I don't have an Aussie, but wanted to say sorry for your loss. No matter the time that has passed it always feels like a part of you will always be gone with them. I'm glad you have another pup to fill your heart with love and joy!

So sorry for your loss @Wldmstnglvr. It's never easy letting them go. Wish they lived as long as we did.
I lost my aussie heart pup, Zoe, coming up on 3 years in August (one furthest Right). She was 14. May be a little biased but they are one of the best dogs. They were with me while showing horses to welcoming my son into our lives. Said goodbye to her son, Remi (center) last year due to cancer and now we are left with my red merle Kai. She is living her best years on the couch now. We cherish the days we have left with her, fearing she will be reunited with her sister and brother at the bridge before too long. Just waiting on her to let us know when.

Thank you Wolf Ranch!

They are beautiful Seahorse! Jack was my first Aussie, but I am sure I will have another someday. Last year was just to early.
Enjoy Kai.
I heard a saying recently along the lines of "the hole never fills, but new life builds around it"
