Farewell to Old Friends

I lost 11 horses at turn over. I was hoping to get at least one more year out of them but it was not meant to be.
I lost my UNI stallion. I wish I could replace him, but with UNI down, I can't.
I lost my foundation W3 stallion, but he lives on through his bloodlines.
I lost my first 2nd generation mare to paper blue. I was hoping to get one final foal out of her.
I lost one of my favorite 3rd gen stallions, but he lives on through his bloodlines.
Meanwhile, Imrahil survived to see 20, and my Mr Million daughter is still alive at 21.
My first BBTS mare, Gilofuina, is still kicking at 25.Thanked by 1Redbud -
I had a Exceptionally Perfect mare that I must have won through auction yesterday die overnight before I could even look at her, too. :`( I was excited to add her to my broodmare string. Oh well.Post edited by Royal Rose Acres at 2015-07-01 09:34:58

I lost a foundation stud that Kerredens Corral sold me to get my champagne Appaloosa breeding programme off the ground.

I took some straws from him yesterday just in case and have some of his offspring coming through to continue the line.

I totally understand ... I lost 24 at turn over :-( . A lot of my horses are 16+ yrs since they are from my old account so i expected to loose some but not that many. Which reminds me I was curious at what age do they become at risk for dying?Post edited by Merry Mount Farm at 2015-07-01 15:59:14Merry Mount Farm ID# 219220

I lost 98 this year! @-) That's the most ever.
Horses have a chance of dying at roll-over when they are 18. -
I lost the first stallion I bought, along with 34 others. *sigh*

I lost a lot too, on both sites. Lost a lot of show horses over on HJ2, will have to create a bunch more. Was Rebecca Iavelli on the old forum

Think! - It's not illegal yet. -
I lost my beautiful KP stud, Dragons Flight.
I didn't even pull straws because I thought he'd go at least one more, rather upset to see him go.
On the bright side, I did tell myself I can go get another pretty once he passed on...
