Removing default breed?
-
Is it possible to remove the default breed and return it to National (whatever)?
Now that we can create more than one breed, I feel that having my default breed on horses I intend to sell (example rank specials I don't need/want for myself) will slightly interfere with other people who want to buy foundation stock to start a new breed of their own since it will be stuck with my default breed from back before we could have multiple breeds.
It's not a huge issue - I make all my destined for sale rank specials as mares so if I understand right their foals will take on the breeders foundation site's breed right? But I started a new breed because I couldn't resist the PRE style but didn't have any warmblood lines to apply it to, and while I was setting everything up I bought some foundation rescue mares but didn't realize I wouldn't be able to switch them to my breed. So it will make searching by breed miss those few... not a major problem but it did make me curious about if I could remove the default breed so anyone else could customize the RS mares they buy from me as they see fit.Thanked by 1Cavalynn -
Or maybe the option to create "National" horses can always be at the end in the "select a breed" menu on the create a horse page, aside from our own breeds?

An even better idea, but that might take more coding for a really niche market so to speak... most people probably create horses for themselves and just sell the ones that don't meet their requirements I'd imagine, no? I just figure a lot of people like to start breeding projects with rank specials and other people collect them, so if one of my re-rolls is a RS it makes sense, to me, to sell the two I create along with sharing the herd helper with whoever is around when I get it. I used to try selling them for whatever they were selling for from other people, but now my show stock usually net me as much money as I need so I just go for easy and sell them at the default 2500.
Just like I said the absolutely *delicious* PRE art lured me into making a new breed lol, so I've been keeping all mine recently... but I have enough now, so I was just wondering
