  • e/e a/a Cr/- would probably be a good starting place

Probably want to stay away from sooty and DP for the most part

  • Here is one heterozygous sooty and one homozygous sooty just for reference.

  • Definitely add satin

  • Yup I agree ; you definately need Satin

  • I’d also recommend avoiding horses that have pangare (P or P+). The horse posted in the OP definitely does not have it.

    Something like this maybe…

  • I know everyone is saying e/e Cr/- but honestly the OP looks more like a gold champagne to me. Not a palomino. So you need e/e meaning a chestnut, and add champagne, not cream. The shiny look, could be satin.
  • That's a palomino for sure not a champagne. No champagne in the breed and the nose is black.

  • Is the nose black on all of the real ones?
And yes, I do like the looks of that one.
Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2023-10-29 14:55:25
  • It's not always as noticeable, but yes. If there is no white from a splash gene or just a large blaze, the nose will usually be a darker color.

  • I suppose no matter what genetics you use, would it be rather impossible to duplicate the genetics for a black nose? And only the nose.
  • Here in the game, no. That's just not how Ammit has the genetics set up. In the future? Possibly. It would be cute to see. *hint hint* ;;)

In real life? I guess I just never really thought about it enough. I suppose of you always kept breeders with the least "white factor", you should be able to.

  • Would you want minimal white factor or none?

These are the genes of the one in the picture

    Phenotype: Palomino

    Pigment Modifiers
    Black: e/e Bay(Agouti): a/a Cream: Cr/- Tiger Eye: -/TE2 Sooty: Sty/- Flaxen: f/f Pangare: p/p Satin: sa/sa
    White Markings
Appaloosa Blanket Size: -/PATN1 Kit Promoter: KP/-

    Additional Info
    White Factor: Minimal

What genes are not needed to produce the color? No need to spend gmts to put on genetics that are not needed. (For example I doubt Tiger Eye and /PATN1 are necessary.) Sty/? f/f? KP/?
Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2023-10-29 15:21:32
  • Either, I think. If Ammit were to introduce it to the game, I would say both would allow the dark to show through.

On real horses? Probably the same. Actually, the horse you posted almost looks like the game version of a light white factor. Maybe even as high as medium.

  • I would steer away from Sty in any form ; F/F would give you a lighter mane and tail , KP is only reactive with there are 2 other "KIT" genes and another KP so no need to spend GMT's on that either.

  • What about the tiger eye? I'm not sure if Galway means "neither" or "either".
What about none for the white factor?

Everyone is being such a help. Thank you.

  • Tiger eye isnt going to influence coat color
White Factor isnt going to influence coat color either, it just adds larger / more white markings

  • I meant either minimal or none on the v white factor. I missed the edited part.

    Parlayan

This one is mine, but using S+ for a different effect.

If you wanted to recreate that one, it would be Chestnut Base + 1 copy Cream + 1 Copy of Sooty. Given that the picture is of an Akhal Teke, you could add HOM satin. Then you will need to reroll until you have something you like.

Like I mentioned in another post of yours, Palominos in the game are really hard to match up when it comes to real life colors.
  • Thank you. (I'm taking notes of all the suggestions people make)
  • AlAsseel when I click on the link for your horse, I get the message there is no horse with that id number.
  • Closing this. Thanks everyone for your help.
