Looks like the very early stages of varnish to me.

Varnish is what makes an Appaloosa turn white with age. The ones with het Varnish Promoter white out fast and the ones Hom faster still.

@bluchrystals I didn't know it could happen without the snow gene. Too cool!

The spots won't stay and grow distinct like that though. The whole coat will turn varnished, almost roan-looking for a while. Snowflake just consolidates the varnishing into spots.Thanked by 1Fiddler
