I'm thankful I have a place to live that's affordable. I owned a trailer, but the floor rotted from leaks, and I didn't know until the floor collapsed underneath me and I fell through. (Earned me a bunch of stitches and the trailer had to go to the dump.) Rents in this town are sky high because of high paid oil workers willing to pay high rents. 2 weeks after I fell through the floor, I got a call from a seniors residence I had applied to a couple years before and had forgotten about. I have heat and water and even wifi, a kitchen that cooks for us, and activities. It costs a very large part of my income, but it's worth it. I do miss my pets dreadfully though.

I am thankful for an amazing Husband. We do cat rescue and the wee little bottle baby orphan kittens can't regulate their own heat, so they can get cold and die; I asked for an Incubator and he is getting me a top of the line one with an Oxegynator and Nebulizer attached for Christmas this year!
Hopefully we can keep the wee ones healthier and I can provide a safe haven for all the littles to give them a better shot at this thing we call life.
