I just found out today that the horse that started it all for me was put down 3 months ago.. Heavenly Nu Bar.. That Quarter Horse stallion taught me all the basics and made me fall in love with the sport even more!.. I was 10 years old when I met him, my dad's godfather saddled him up and let me ride him alone in the arena! It was my first time riding and NuBar took really good care of me.. Considering I was greener than grass lol I rode him a few more times after that day but he retired and became a full time stud.. I saw him in March of this year, cranky old man, I was granted permission to turn him out that day and my little brother caught it all on tape and even snapped a few pics!

That boy was my whole world, he was the twinkle in my eye and the spark that lit my joy..
