Bettering lines with boosting- need answers
-
So I'm boosting my mares and stallions now with high pt, and I'm trying to get superior stallions.
How do I know when they are better if they always test aga (boosted to boosted)?
Do I test by skipping generation, as in superior test a 3rd boosted generation to the first boosted generation? ("Grandfoal" to grandparent instead of it's parent)
I'm stuck in a circle of not getting anything better, most of the time they are worse producers than their boosted parent. (Even though they are also boosted).Post edited by BarnRaised at 2024-02-15 13:51:46 -
I havent started boosting yet ; I am getting SUP foals from unboosted 9g pairings that are ** as well as alot of AGA in my 10g; when my 10g's start to produce aga or pass SBA I ll probably start to boost ; but until you hit breeding cap imo its not worth it to push to get that *** unless you have a solid backing of several ** mares and studs to work withPost edited by annismyrph at 2024-02-15 15:13:54

I'm using 14pt horses with either boosted sires and dams or just sires and grandsires. I'm having trouble producing better without them all testing aga even while boosting the offspring of boosted parentsPost edited by BarnRaised at 2024-02-15 18:45:21

you might be at the cap , Ammit put a thing into the testing if they pass BA or SBA then they can't be "worse" but at 14PT I dont think they can get "SUP" if they are already 3***

You need to link to the horses you have questions about. Without links you have not given enough context for people to give you solid advice about those lines.
PT is not breeding ability and you should not be using it to pick breeding horses.Post edited by Ammit at 2024-02-16 07:33:13Need to contact me? Read this first.

This may help
The Dragons Ruby
I boosted this stallion "The Dragons Ruby" because he has a lot of boosted lineage. I was hoping to get something close to Tomb of Time (his sire) as a step up from my normal breeding horses who are continuously testing aga. Tomb of time tested superior to my boosted high pt stallions before maxing and before boosting. I did not breed Tomb of Time I bought him so he's not from my lines.
Enchanted Inferno
This is Enchanted Inferno, he is my best producer before Tomb of Time. I want to better my breeding stock, but I figured if one horse can test superior to Enchanted Inferno then he isn't breeding cap.
My question I guess is how do I get past the "aga" slump and start producing more "Tomb of Time" horses
Tomb of Time
(Test superior before I maxed and boosted)Post edited by BarnRaised at 2024-02-16 11:42:58 -
***star horses will never produce superior foals. They are above the breeding cap. Tomb of Time is double-boosted. He is a boosted clone of a horse boosted above the cap. You will never get a horse as good as Tomb of Time unless you also clone a 5% boosted horse and give that clone another 5% boost.
These lines can't get any better ability-wise.Post edited by Ammit at 2024-02-16 20:59:29Need to contact me? Read this first.
