Will a maxed bootstrap horse pass BA or SBA?

I feel like I remember Ammit saying that a maxed horse will pass SBA. I've never maxed anything except my even breeding lines. I'd like to run BA or SBA on this guy, but not if it will just geld him. Thoughts?
