When you get a RAOG, it says be sure to thank your gifter...here.. or in a private message. I have given some really nice gifts and people that I know have not responded.
Vice versa, I have thanked for all of my gifts but I'm not sure the person who needs to see my thanks ever gets it.

That we don't get notified when someone thanks us. No one has ever thanked me, and I know that's not how they are

The messages are there and visible. But people may not be bothering to read them.

@Fiddler, I know you sent me a really prety Snowflake Appy filly, and I thanked you for her.. you might need to go to the bottom of the ROAG page and click on messages to yourself. Please check to see if you got my Thank you, if not welp .... Thank you!

Apparently, you don't get a notification that someone has given you a message using the RAOG portal. They have to take the initative to look.

there should be an alert in the header bar but that may not be working. I will try and look into that but I am not positive I will get to it.
