    OK, But what if I want to auction the gelds that dont make the breeding cut? Or is that the choice I have to make? Lock them individually so I can sell some of the Gelds?

    You can't auction locked horses. You also don't need to lock any horses if you don't want to and I suggest people don't make a habit of trying to lock everything particularly if you might want to cull the foals.
