Brown Conundrum?

    Introducing Maresy.. she has a tattoo which says “true breeding brown” but I’ve never seen a HH by that name.
    So I’m not sure how I got her.
    Secondly, she doesn’t qualify for the brown club.

    I’m confused. Can anyone explain this?

    I think they need 5 darkening Alleles to be Brown.. she is missing 1 which is weird if she is in fact a "true breeding brown" There are some HH that seem to no longer be on the list? when you click her HH tattoo and go to the list.. a few of them dont seem to be on the HH List either. A treu cunundrum!

    That herd helper has been around a while. I think it was made when brown was genetically At, before it was transitioned to what it is now. That’s why they are now bay.

    This guy shows the tattoo for GMTing brown way back when.

    Right, that’s why she is bay and not brown. The genes for that herd helper no longer work to make brown.
