Hello everyone! So around June i decided i needed to take a break from H&J. Between the frustration of being let go from my job and alot of overwhelming changes affecting my attempts with breeding goals i had and having way to many lines going i couldnt keep up with, i was discouraged, sad, and frustrated. I needed time to get myself back together at home and decide what my plan was for here. "Please im not trying to make this into a ranting post. just venting my stress that has structured my new goals". During my time away i really thought hard about what i wanted to do that would be less discouraging easy to maintain and would help other players out.
1. I am no longer breeding by Era+genetics. I decided to just focus on a line for color purposes only even if it is harder to get on the leader boards for most genetics.
2. I plan to discontinue stallions in my barn minus a couple i will keep in pasture and any older foundations i have left to start my new line. My goal is to eventually have 5 or less stallions all together. Why? I feel the value of good mares is underrated and i would love to show case good quality mares for h&j members to buy eggs or buy the mares for their goals. Secondly it was hard to showcase stallions with lots of flashy genes for the futurity when many players opt to swap straws than go to others breeding advertisements so my goal would be to support breeders who have put alot of work into their lines, stallions ,and ads.
3. I plan to work heavly on my show horses and adding more stalls for the first few months. My goal is to get back to 400k a day.

4. I want to do more fun contests with players with fun prizes . Any way i can give back to the community and help jump start new members.

5. I want to have as much fun as possible and make tons of friends :x .

Lastly i have yet to decide what colors i want to breed for which will be my struggling point because who cant resist all these different genes and patterns :) .

I hope everyone has had a good and eventful summer. I did alot of showing with my mare and did our first show in the adult classes as she is young and we have been doing green horse up till august. We didnt win any awards in with the show we entered as adult yet but for her competing with 15 plus well seasoned show horses we managed to stay above top 4 for each class earning ribbons so this was a major milestone for us to compete with a harder group of horses and against half my team who are pretty hard to beat. Next year we shall see what is in store for us and hopefully by then we will be showing more than just our local horse shows.
