My upgrade lapsed and now BC art is gone? Resolved- thanks!
-
Hello! This could very well be my mistake, but I figured I should ask before I buy BC art again. I accidentally let my basic upgrade lapse at the beginning of the year and since I only log on every couple months, I didn’t realize until a few days ago. The last time I was on (around Dec) I purchased and updated all my breed artwork, but it’s since vanished from my horses and is no longer available for me to use when I go into the manage my breed tab. I’ve since renewed my upgrade, somewhat in the hopes that it would correct the issue, but it didn’t. Is this because I lost my upgrade for a time? I’m alright if it is and will buy it again if so, but I’d hate to spend more money if I don’t have to. Any help is appreciated and thanks for reading!Post edited by BlueHills at 2025-02-13 14:32:13

Upgrades and BCs are unrelated. Your upgrade status has no impact on any BCs. In April last year you purchased 1 month of BC subscription but any made BC changes don't vanish when that expires.
Do you have another game account? There is no record of you buying anything to do with BCs in December.

Thanks for answering! No, this is my only account. I must have been mistaken about when I purchased it, and just thought it was more recent since the BC were still applied last time I logged on last year. It was sort of strange how they vanished, as when I got back on a few days ago they were all there, but then disappeared from just some of my horses when I logged on again, either the next day or later that same day. By yesterday they were gone from all the horses that had them applied before. If they were suppose to remain on those horses even after the BC subscription expired, would this just be an error or glitch of some kind? Thanks again!
Edit: I took a second look at one of my barns and I can still see some the BC art is applied when scrolling through the search bar, but as soon as I open any of the horses pages, the image refreshes and clears the BC. After the image updates, it’s no longer applied in the search either.Post edited by BlueHills at 2025-02-11 16:58:16 -
Bcs are not removed when it expires. Thr game has no mechanism to do that. More likely they were changed some time ago for a different reason and the game is just updating the image to what it is already set too.
For example if you set them as a foal, foals don't keep there assigned BC they change to the BC for their breed when they age up but only if you have access to that BC.Post edited by Ammit at 2025-02-11 22:10:07Need to contact me? Read this first.

Oh! That would make sense that the aged up and went back to the original art since I didn’t renew the BCs. Most of my horses that were already aged up when the BC was applied have already passed away, so these remaining horses must have been much younger when I applied the art. Thank you!!
