Is there any benefit to offering straws from a deceased horse for Fut?
-
I have a lot of straws from a stallion, but he's archived. Will straws from him help anyone doing futurity?

Stallions are only eligible for futurity if they are alive and, I believe, of breeding age. Because of that, most futurity breeders won't accept straws from a stud that's older than 12 because he could age out of the game before his qualifying offspring turn 5.Might be addicted to pixel ponies...

Thank you.

He's still a lovely boy, though.

They don't need to be of breeding age to be on the Futurity boards, but yes they do need to be alive. As said, 12yo is about the cut off as they may pass after 17yoThanked by 1MackZ
