Boosting question
-
I know it was mentioned in a post a while back, but I can't find the answer anywhere, and I'm having a total brain fart on this.
I'm working on a new pair of boosted mares. I bred a filly from at/near cap parents, maxed and tested her, gave her a 5% boost, then cloned her. I'm going to give her clone a 5% boost as well, but I can't remember if it's a good idea to also max the clone before applying the boost. Would that even do anything?
The closest thing to an answer that I've found so far is that cloning produces genetically identical foals with some small variation in training. Does the same apply to breeding ability?Post edited by MackZ at 2025-07-02 22:59:14 -
I always thought if you were going for over cap foals.. you maxed and boosted both times?

Breeding ability is genetic and clones perfectly. It is a waste of money to max a clone of a maxed horse.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )
