Help me thin out my horses!
-
I have a hard time selling horses but I really need to downsize. Ones with tack I probably won't sell and a few others. Name your price need space for others :)

Instead of thinning down. Get some barns! You need waaaaaay more horses
-
And just as a tip if you want to sell your stock that you have bred, try and keep the generations even. Like this stud has an uneven pedigree/generation.
http://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=3084305
His sire was a 2nd Gen and his dam was a Foundation, it's best to breed horses with the same generation. Like Foundations to Foundations, and 2nd Gens to other 2nd Gens.
This colt's pedigree is all over the place

The best thing to do is geld these, and geld/spay your other horses with uneven pedigrees, if you want any help, don't hesitate to message me! -
I actually just looked back at the 2nd colt, and realized that his dam was one of mine from a little while back :)) Not mad about it or anything, I just thought it was kind of funny

Sorry! Im still trying to get the hang of this. So geld both the two from the links you had? And what exactly do generations do or what?HJ1 ID #: 211869

They don't need to be. Some people put breeding rules in their horse's notes that state how a horse needs to be breed, ie: to other horses of the same generation, or it's foals must meet certain paper or gene requirements to stay intact. Some people will ban you from their stock for not complying. That being said, it's your game, play it the way that makes you happiest. Mix generations if it suits you. You shouldn't expect your game income to come from selling horses though. Your major steady source of income will be your weekly salary and showing bonus. So like others have said, more horse! The more points you hold, the larger your weekly showing bonus becomes, and you're more likely to hold more points, with more horses showing. Spayed and gelded horses get a showing advantage, and typically place better, and bring in more points.
Welcome to the game, and have fun!Go boldly, where no App has gone before!Thanked by 1Empire Acres -
I agree with Kat. If even gens were a "rule", I guess we wouldn't be able to breed unevens. :)
