She is, I am guessing, in her sixties. She dresses immaculately and puts on a good may airs :P
This is how the conversation went.
"I want fresh not frozen, wild caught salmon. And it must be locally sourced."
"I am sorry mam, but this is an impossibility." (this is the second hardest I have ever had keeping a straight face my entire life)
"At the moment we have wild caught Pink salmon from China, and wild caught Sockeye and Silverbrite salmon from the Copper River in Alaska. At this time it is all frozen or refreash, but when the fishing season opens in the summer, we will be able to get in fresh, wild caught salmon from Copper River."
"But would that be locally sourced?"
"No mam"
"I specifically asked for locally sourced."
At this point I just shrugged my shoulders and she huffed away. This actually happened awhile ago, but recently my boss walked into the break room with a 'I do not want to live on this planet anymore' look on his face. Apparently the lady had come back and complained to him that she had requested that we carry local, wild caught salmon on multiple times and from multiple associates, and she had dealt with flat out refusal to being completely ignored. I am just sorry that I was on lunch when this went down.Post edited by Redbud at 2014-04-21 20:39:30 -

Someone needs to explain to that poor confused woman where salmon comes from, she's probably terrorized plenty of grocery stores with the same request! Lol
