Hmmm...Now What? (Fun With Pastures)
-
So, I bought my extra pastures (now have 2x 100 acre and 8x 10 acre). My horses are sorted. This is going to be one odd breeding season LOL. Aside from using straws on a few extra foundations and finding a 4th gen stud to breed my girls to (plus a 3rd gen for a couple special ones) - I have nothing to do except sit back and wait for all of my foals.
Anyone else having fun with pastures?
-
I've placed my Era 1 non-LE gene exceptional producer mares (38 of them, I think) and three Era 1 Ex Pro stallions into my original 100 mare pasture. Today bought a 10 mare pasture and created a bunch of mares and a couple stallions with my silver buckskin herd helper I activated yesterday afternoon. Only one of the stallions is in the pasture now, of course, but I plan to use the other with regular breeding and then swap the two in the pasture for several years. I've also been having fun populating my smaller H&J2 pasture. And yes, it has been fun, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the results next month.

I bought the 10 pasture special that Ammit has listed, and have been browsing though to fill them up, along with the 100 pasture barn I already have for my level 5.
I plan on using the pastures in rotation from horses I will keep in barns, but I now have lots of empty barns to put the foals in when they are born. Just got to remember to get an infusion before breeding season, to make sure I have enough money for all the horses in my pastures, lol.
I will also be clearing out a lot of my barns of horses I just haven't gotten around to breeding, like lots of ExPro sorrels, chestnuts and other ee based colors, so keep an eye on the auctions. :DWas Rebecca Iavelli on the old forum
