What is the common pt per gen?
-
Depends on what level of foundations you use, as well as people's opinion. PT also has nothing to do with a horse's breeding score, I often have great breeders with low PT.
I use mostly exceptional level foundations. My 2nd gen foal pt ranges from high 9's to high 10's. I generally yum anything under 10, and if I'm low on space I'll yum anything under 10.4 pt.
My highest intact (stallions, mares) 3rd gens are 11.8 but they range all the way down to 9.6 (a superior to sire who is superior to his sire stallion!). I will usually yum anything under 10.4 and sometimes anything under 10.6 if I'm feeling in the culling mood.
My highest intact 4th gen is a 12.0 mare, and my lowest is a 9.9 stallion. :)
I don't label my spay/gelds by generation, so can't easily pull that info up, but I imagine their ranges will be higher than the intacts.Bluegrass #143376 * Specializing in Iced Axiom (ExPro Cobs) and Iced Phantoms (PF Riding Ponies)
