2014 is starting off with a bang (or is it a thud?).

Fully expecting to be back at work at the beginning of April, life took a turn when I was given the option of redeploying to another position with the company (meaning a pay cut in a year plus having to go back to working evenings/weekends), or taking a severance package. I opted for the package.

The package has almost been like freedom. I plan to spend at least part of the summer at home with the kids (until Michael starts Kindergarten - whaaaat!?).

And now, I am officially a student again. I enrolled today in my first course towards my CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) designation. A big change of career ahead for me, but I feel very positive. Who thought someday I'd have letters after my name (haha)?

The best part of all? I am going to be riding again starting in 2 weeks! I found a lovely barn and a great instructor just 20 minutes from my house. I went to look at the place last week and met everyone. I am really excited. Just a small place (8 stalls! LOL), very family-oriented (although they do go to shows as well). I'll try and get pictures if I can convince my hubby to come watch haha
