  • Hello!
I am new, and I am having some trouble... I can't figure out how to sell a horse that I own. Also, do your horses age? I have a bay roan yearling filly, and would love for her to age so I can train her. :)

  • Also, are there any ways to earn money other than winning competitions? It seems you spend a lot and get none in return. LOL
  • Horses age up every game year - so every 2 real life months.

The best way to earn money is based off the points your horses collect. You earn half of the points in HB's every week. So if the horses in your stable have a total of 10 thousand points, you'd get another 5k every week. There are many players earning well over 100k every week just from points.

This is why breeding good stock to get good show horses is important. Most games don't have much use for non-breeding stock, here they are very important. Geldings and spayed mares are a vital part of a strong stable.

You shouldn't have to spend a lot. The foundation rescue has quality horses available for only 2500. They won't likely have fancy colors, but the fancy colors aren't what make you money. It's a good way to get solid stock to start building your lines.

  • If you want to sell a horse, you can either put them up on the public sales board (it's on the horse's control panel tab - most of the time they're not worth more than about 2500 hbs, unless there's something super special about them) or you can drop them into the public auction house, where you'll also get 2500 hbs for them.

Horses age up naturally every game year, so your yearling will turn two in January (then 3 in March, and 4 in May, and so on..)

As for making money, having horses and showing those horses is totally the way to go. You don't make a lot of money from individual shows, but where the majority of your income will come from is from accumulated showing points. They 'keep' all the points they gain from showing, even the half points they can collect as yearlings, and every week you automatically collect an amount of HBs equal to half the total number of points all of your horses have collected.

The more horses you own, and the more you show them and the more points they collect, the more money you have. :D

If you have room. Click that DHH and make some show horses! It's a good one to get to build your show string up :)
