Left Menu Bar issue?
-
I am using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 10. I just downloaded it the other day, so I'm assuming that it is the latest version.
In this game, the left menu bar is behaving oddly. Usually, if I open a section there, it stays open until I minimize it. At present, the only sections that do that are My Stable, Showing, Community, and Vital links. All the others hide themselves as soon as I do something. When testing, for instance, that section closes down as soon as I click to perform the test. The test stays open, but the Testing section in the menu closes itself, whether I stay in the same tab or open the test in a new one.
In HaJ 2, I am seeing this behavior only with Showing and Stable Management.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior? I find it especially annoying when I'm testing. I have been wondering if it is a Windows 10 thing or just what is going on.
I just checked Google Chrome, and the menu sections stay open there.

I think it's probably 3.6.8, since I just downloaded it onto our new Windows 10 computer within the last two weeks.

I finally found out how to locate the version number. It's well hidden.
This is what I'm seeing on the About Mozilla Firefox pop-up.

Oh, this switch from XP to Windows 10 and all the familiar programs I've had to download in newer versions so that they will work there! I felt fairly computer literate until this happened. :\">
This is the only mention of cookies I have found:

If I'm understanding this correctly, cookies should be allowed by this setting.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2015-11-29 05:33:27 -
Unfortunately we don't have anyway of testing a windows 10 set up :( We will have to wait for someone else who has windows 10 to chime in and see what they are seeing.Need to contact me? Read this first.

The funny thing is that HaJ 2 does not show the same behavior. All sections except showing and stable management remain open there.

Thanks for looking into this with me, Ammit. I really appreciate the time.
I can live with what's happening, even though it's annoying to have to click on the testing section before moving on to the next test I want to perform. Perhaps getting into the habit of opening a tab for every test before I start will help. -
I have Windows 10. Chrome is my default browser, but I just opened Firefox and did not experience this issue, all tabs are staying open no matter which link in them I click. Maybe try reinstalling FF and it's extensions (java/flash)?Bluegrass #143376 * Specializing in Iced Axiom (ExPro Cobs) and Iced Phantoms (PF Riding Ponies)

You mean JavaScript ;) (Java is totaly different and unrelated) You should not need to do that as JavaScript is built into the browser and flash is not used on this site at all.
Blue Jewels if you close the menu tabs and then go to a new menu page do they stay closed until you open them again?Post edited by Ammit at 2015-11-29 07:03:59Need to contact me? Read this first.

With the amount of times I've had to reinstall this past year, I shouldn't be mixing those up lol.
Any menu tabs I leave open, stay open. Any menu tabs I leave closed, stay closed.
I'm clicking on links on the left menu links (at least one from each tab) as well as clicking inside the game (pt testing, barns, etc)Bluegrass #143376 * Specializing in Iced Axiom (ExPro Cobs) and Iced Phantoms (PF Riding Ponies)

Well that doesn't tell us why Sandy's is broken but at least we know it's not an everyone bug. Very odd.Need to contact me? Read this first.
