Brindle
-
Can you breed brindle? I have a brindle mare, can she produce brindle offspring?
-
She can, but the odds are immensely low. Only Ammit is positive about the exact odds, but its about 1 to 100 or more.
-
I remember that when you breed two brindles together the chance for brindle foal is 1 to 50.understand the significance of signatures
-
Azadeh - that is not official. The "1 in 100" and "1 in 50" are only used as examples to show that while breeding two brindles together ups your odds of getting a brindle, it's still a very long shot. I have chased brindle hard core, I have done over 500 brindle x non brindle and over 200 brindle x brindle all in one season and not gotten a single one.
Ammit has never gave us official numbers for the odds. It could be triple that, it could be half that. We don't know.
