Help me recreate this horse
-
I have decided I want a base like this for my new foundation stallion:
9327100
One thing I really love about him is the more golden tone in his dapples. Most of his full siblings have a more warm/reddish tone to their dapples, like the one below. Does anyone know how I can recreate the golden tone? Is it genetics, or just rerolling like crazy?

Do all his siblings have a pearl copy like the bottom one?Post edited by bluchrystals at 2019-11-02 10:58:13

I'm not sure, but man, he's pretty
-
No, some har het. Some are hom. And some don’t have pearl, so no clue there.
-
I know brown normally gives that copper color to the dapples, but I'm not sure what is throwing off the others.Thanked by 1Herzeloyde

Only difference I can see is here: SLC24A5NSLC24A5TE1 vs here: SLC24A5NSLC24A5TE2. Golden dapples on second line.
-
It's probably a variation that can be changed by rerolling (from the Control Tab) the image, not just refreshing it. I doubt that the tiger eye gene affects the dapples in any way.Thanked by 1Herzeloyde

Then I will try rerolling like crazy and see if I can get something similar
-
Its almost like the top one has a hidden nd1 gene or something similar and the others didnt get it.
Its almost like the dense ph didnt affect the under coat of the first one. -
Hes beautiful. Id love to pair him to some of my mares some days.
-
Thank you everyone! All of them are hom.nd 1, sty and DP, so that is not the factor. Perhaps the answer is, like *SandyCreek says, rerolling.
But the top one is so handsome, that I am seriously considering to ungeld him, give him a boost and transform him into a mare. I only use 2nd gen A stallions, but the mares can be blue and red -
I bet it is a variation of the nd1, like the golden tone would almost look like bay dun, but it can only show in dapples because of the sooty and Dp. And some nd1's hardly get any dilution at all, so the darker ones would look like regular dark bays (not obviously nd1) without the Dp?
That's my guess :-?Thanked by 1Herzeloyde -
That really sounds plausible!
