Should I geld this stallion?
-
I have a stallion that I'm fond of, mainly because of color, but don't really want to breed him to my mares. I've been using my star papered stud. I figured maybe other people would be interested in breeding to him. I think he would make a great gelding but what do you guys think? Would you personally breed him? Do I have better chances making hbs off of him by studding him out or by gelding him and showing?
Thanks in advance!

If he were mine I would geld him and add to my show string. Just my personal opinion. His pedigree is very uneven and I think you would probably make more money showing him than studding him out.
But on the other hand if you love him and his color, keep him a stallion and breed him :)

Thanks :) I have decided to geld.
