Advice please
-
So i got my first ever GMT on my other account and im looking at the lab and i was wondering if anyone could please explain to me what the cream genes mean and what they do or point me in the direction of were i can find this info please
-
The cream gene dillutes horses, normal bay horses (E? A?) with cream will be buckskins, Black horses (E? aa) will be smokey blacks and chestnuts (ee ??) will be palomino's.
For more info about all the different genes you can click on them on a horses color testing results and they'll send you trough to the genetics guide.
http://www.huntandjump.com/geneticsguide/?page_id=56 this is the page about the cream gene. All the other genes are on here as well!
What also helps is using the search, you choose to include or exclude certain genes and then you'll have a visual about the different genes too!
Hope this will help you out a bit! :)
PS: oh and when you click on the 'modify this horse' button on the GMT page you'll go to the page where you can actually change their genetics, and there is a little bit of info about everything too. As long as you don't click any other buttons on that page nothing will happen (looking at it is free and costs no GMT's, only if you modify something)Post edited by MasterStablesMS at 2016-12-28 05:09:56HJ1 160524

Its all very confusing also do u no what satin gene is?
-
If i have a black horse and gm cream onto it that would make it smokey black wouldnt it? what one would i put onto?
-
Also i just found what satin is thanks =)

Satin is a gene that expresses itself when a horse carries two copies of the recessive allele. It gives the horse a shimmering color. It is the game equivalent of the gene carried by some Akhal Teke horses that gives them their metallic sheen.
It is an extremely rare gene in the game and the most expensive in the Gene Modification lab.
Here's an Akhal Teke in real life.

Here are some examples of satin horses in the game.

A black horse with one cream gene would be smokey black. A black horse with two cream genes is smokey creme. Whenever I get confused about what I'm looking at, I just do a search of horses with that particular set of genes (For example, "Must not have A", "Must have E", "Must have Cr") and compare what I find!Specializing high quality dark horses with lots of chrome.

I would rather a smokey cream but with only one gmt i belive that not possible and i just got back on after someone trying to hack my fb

Thankyou everyone for your responses now im thinking can u gm grey off a horse and if so how do you do it?
-
To take off a gene load the horse and scroll to the gene you want, in the case gray. Then click on the large G and it will say change G to g for 1 token? Click on that message and it will be changed.

Can 2 white genes be lethal to a horse?
-
Yes, but not if it is GMTed on. GMTs defy all the rules :P
