DP?

I have no luck at telling DP on anything other than the obvious chestnuts and palominos, so can anyone tell me if this foal got daddy's DP or not?
Possible DP hidden -
I'm still learning but I can see very very faint dappling. Don't take my word, let someone else confirm my suspicions :)

You can get dapples from just sooty, no DP needed. Your foal looks to me to be a normal homozygous sooty buckskin. Here is a foal that is DP buckskin (sire is homozygous) and it is noticeably darker:
