Having trouble producing in-tact foals
-
Hi there! I know there have been many updates to testing and the game over the past several years. I have been having a difficult time producing an in-tact foal during breeding season (meaning -- one that will survive testing) and I was wondering if anyone else has run into this and how you solved it. I am not sure if my lines are just so old and the showing abilities are so high that it's going to be difficult to produce a horse that is a better breeder. Any tips will help. Thanks!

Links? Examples would be helpful please and thank youPost edited by bravo25 at 2017-11-12 19:56:32

I having the same issues with the higher pt lines and with anything that has something boosted in there lines. Apparently the foals are compared to both parents and not just the one of the same sex. I barely get any intacts anymore. I was told not to use the strict testing for for anything that is lopsided quality wise. I used to breed super boosted stallions to lower quality mares to improve the mares for the next generation....however now everything gets snipped doing that. so I paper before I breeding test... that was if a blue mare throws a gold or a star foal I usually keep it depending on color. like these:
G4 5489496 snsa GOLD
G4 Gold 5492717 dpsn
G4 DarkStar GOLD dpsn
G4 Gold 5492869 sa
G4 Dark Blue saW8 -
I have herd with breeding star and gold papered horses try also match The pt scores

@bamain I may have this issue as well " I am not sure if my lines are just so old and the showing abilities are so high that it's going to be difficult to produce a horse that is a better breeder"
My top lin es are also very old... -
My old leaderboard lines are seriously skewed quality wise. I have given up ever getting a colt from those lines, once i lose my last LB boy i hope my own lines will have caught up, or at least getting close, then i'll spay all but a few of my favourites.
My own lines are now at 9th generation and yes it's still tricky getting intacts but it is possible. -
@stacey AFPT not pt scores.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

Is there a cap on breeding quality? I have quite a few boosted mares/stallions and the colts they have all seem about the same, and can't get to the same quality without boosting, so I just wondered?
I haven't been able to get intacts from the high PT boosted lines either. Even when using brother and sister clones, so will be same qualityPost edited by Kintara at 2017-11-14 14:57:05 -
Same here

I think Ammit said some horses here have reached the cap here on HJ1 on facebook one time. Ammit, please correct me if I'm wrong.ID 195859

That might be it then, I just don't put the ones I want to breed through testing, the high PT horses are really for show horses anyway
-
That might explain why there are no horses with a PT above 15.1 in the game
-
I've been trying for years to break the 15 mark and I can't Closest ive come is 14.9. I hope in the future Ammit can raise the cap.
