Let's see--he's a third gen A papered stallion, so you should probably breed him to Blue papered mares for the best chance of getting intact offspring. He's heterozygous Ice 8, so each foal will have a 50/50 chance of getting that gene from him. In order to achieve your goal of an Ice8-Nexus line, you should probably look for Blue papered mares that carry nexus if you can find them. Looking at his pedigree, I'd say he's from exceptional producing grandparents on both sides of his family, so mares similarly descended from Ex. Pro. stock will also be a help.
If you want to have a line that is improving in quality, you should cull foals that paper lower than their parents firmly, even if they happen to inherit both the desired genes.
If you don't want an excessively inbred line (and that isn't a definite drawback in the game, although some players prefer to avoid it) you should, if you can, find some outside blood--straws or unneeded foals with the desired genes from other stables. If you don't care about inbreeding, which is not currently harmful in the game as it can be in real life, except for the usual dangers of potentially homozygous lethal genes or those that are potentially lethal in combination, then outside genes will not be as necessary to you.
In short--
1. bring in Nexus through the mares you breed him to
2. as much as possible look for equivalent paper levels
3. cull based on ability not merely the presence of desired genes
4. look for outside stock for a more varied pedigree, but this is a personal choice, not a game requirement. -
Thank you

Another thing you might do is to find a Nexus stallion of equal quality, if you can, and some Ice 8 mares.
