SBA sure got me good.
-
I bred my 4th gen pasture yesterday. I had 54 foals. I'm kind of bummed at how many foals had an appointment with the vet, but at the same time, I'm kind of happy about it, lol. Out of those 54 foals, I only got 10 intact foals.
3 colts that papered Star (3 different sires) and 7 fillies. 6 of those fillies papered gold. I figure as strict as SBA was, the 1 blue papered one was good, she'll just have to throw Star and Gold foals for them to stay intact.
Makes me wonder how I'll make out with my 3rd gen pasture, heh. -
Oh man, SBA sure got me good today on my 5th gen pasture. 24 foals produced (not many mares of breeding age in that pasture yet). Only 1 colt and 1 filly passed SBA. At that rate, my poor 6th gen boys are going to die of old age before I have a decent number of 6th gen mares. Seems to me it's far easier to get a Star papered colt than a Gold papered mare, lol.
