That can happen when you take a 2 year old with only a week of training to a show. She takes one look at the crowd and freaks out! There weren't even any jumps, 1N is an inhand class.

It is possible for a horse to have a negative score due to inconsistency before it has much training. She could be as much as +/- 2 and still test as consistent. However, the results of shows for horses this young don't mean anything for their later showing success. She has a decent PT and should have a good chance of doing well, she just needs some time and training.
