Somatic Tattoos
-
Is there guide somewhere that lists all the somatic tattoos and their descriptions? I have looked everywhere.
-
I'm afraid not. As each player has created or purchased tattoos, they are added to that account's tattoo registry. So far as I know, not even Ammit, the game's creator, has a master list of all of them.
Tattoos are one of the features that becomes available with the Basic Upgrade. With that upgrade, you can create a 25 x 25 pixel image, host it on an image sharing website and upload it to your Tattoo Registry, found on your stable home page under Upgraded Features. Then it is applied by going to a horse's Tack tab and scrolling down to find the tattoo application link.

Only the herd helper tattoos have descriptions. The players somatic tattoos can be applied for any manner of reasons.
Personally on each server I use 5 of them regularly to mark breeding horses with outside lines and to indicate how far back the outside horses are. And I am starting to go through and mark my show horses to indicate whether they are homebred (therefore I feel comfortable selling or giving them away) or have outside lines (and therefore in-house only)
I also have a couple to indicate particular genes Nexus, Satin, W8Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
