New splash art
Splash white in the name has been completely overhauled. All splash art work in the game is now 100% dynamically generated. You can get everything from completely hidden splashes with out a hair of white to totally 100% white horses. Just like real life mutations in KIT cause some destabilizing with splash and make wild roughed up edges! The new splash art is not 100% integrated with other genes in the game yet. It will still work but may not produce completely realistic results with other pinto genes just yet. Watch for those to be updated in the future.

Lupin The Third and Splash 3

Say hello to Lupin The Third horse number 3 million and the founder of the splash 3 gene. Watch for Lupin the Third breedings being given away next month!

About Splash 2
Splash 1 and Splash 3 are mutations of MITF but Splash 2 is a mutation of another gene called PAX3. A horse can be homozygous for splash 1 and have a copy of splash 2 which results in an all white horse. Splash 2 is stronger and more pronounced then normal splash 1 horses but it can still be completely hidden on a WF None horse.

How to tell if you have Splash 2
Check your candy ponies. If your candy pony is now a normal color it has the new gene. Most will have splash markings though some WF none horses will be solid. These splash horses will not say splash in the name or show splash on the genetics test. Unlabeled splashes are in fact splash 2s. Only former candy ponies will have splash 2

SPLASH 2 and SPLASH 3 ARE LETHAL!
Splash 2 and Splash 3 are both homozygous lethal, and they are lethal pared together. Do not breed splash 2 and splash 3 horses together as the accumulative mutations are to much and result in a dead foal. Splash 1 is perfectly safe with either mutation and as always safe when homozygous.

Splash 2 Sales
Splash 2 will be a limited edition gene only available during select sales. Did you miss out on creating a splash 2? I will have a few for sale this Christmas.

Color names, searches, Hj2 etc
There is still a lot more work to do to finalize this addition and no more time to do it in. Getting the gene properly integrated will wait until next week after the Holiday weekend. (Keep an eye out for our Cyber Monday sale!)

Candy Ponies
If your horse still has a candy coating that means it is not a splash 2. It is however worth 10GMTs. You can claim your GMTs (the candy coating will vanish in time), keep your horse or even sell it. If you would like to claim the GMTs you can at this link.
