Missing my horse

    Had to sell my gelding a few years ago and I am really missing him right now. Fall was our favorite time of year.

    I'm sorry. Fall is a great time for riding.

    The therapeutic horse back riding program I volunteer with used to have a 10 mile Ride-a-thon every September, and I participated in several of them. It was a lot of fun. I remember one year it was sleeting when we started out, but the sun finally came out and by the end of the ride the legs of my jeans were completely dry. :D

    Then the trail riders sort of slacked off, so now we do a Game-a-thon with barrel racing, pole bending and such. That has been working pretty well.

    There are times I still miss my horse that I had when I lived at my grandma's in New Mexico for some years. Had to sell him when I got married and moved to Maryland. Couldn't afford to take him that far, and couldn't afford to find stabling for him.
