Hello and welcome!

Welcome. If you click on Community at the left and then Buddy Chat, you will find the New Member Lounge. Go there, ask to become a member and you'll be added to the list. That's a good place to chat with other new players. You can also ask questions there and get an answer. You are also encouraged to ask you questions here in the open forum. We're a friendly community and are glad to help new players.

This is a game where each player sets personal goals and works to achieve them, so we're not in competition with each other. Our "opponent" is the variability written in to almost every aspect of the game, which makes it difficult to predict what will happen.

The link to the FAQ User Guide at the left is a good place to get an overview of the many aspects of the game.
